Drop off your children at our Daniel Island flagship for an afternoon that takes them on an outdoor adventure through the Lowcountry!  

Our after-school outdoor adventure program allows kids to take a ride on our version of the Magic School Bus (our Coast Guard-certified ferry with a master captain at the helm) from Daniel Island and learn about our local ecosystems, bringing STEM lesson plans to life. The trip includes a variety of activities listed below, and will change day to day based on the tide and weather conditions.

All Coastal Expeditions guides are trained in first aid, CPR and lifeguarding. As year round leaders of day camps and school field trips, our staff is well-trained to keep safety at the forefront.

We encourage you to bring cash in the event that you wish to tip your naturalist guide and/or captain. Gratuity for your guides is not included but is accepted and greatly appreciated!

WHAT TO WEAR
Kids should be dressed for the weather, including a hat to protect from the sun. Even if it is warm, a windbreaker is recommended for the boat ride. Wear shoes that can get wet and will stay on their feet (Tevas/Chacos/sneakers are better than flip flops)

ARE ADULTS ALLOWED TO COME, TOO?
This is an experience for kids only. Feel free to relax at the Daniel Island Waterfront Park while your children explore!
