JOB OPENING: Office Assistant
Coastal Expeditions is looking for an energetic, nature-loving spirit to work as an Office Assistant at our headquarters on Shem Creek from March through November.
Our clients come in happy and excited every day – your primary job is to maintain that enthusiasm while checking clients in, answering phone calls/texts, creating bookings, and responding to emails.
Other duties will include some office maintenance, occasionally assisting renters on and off the water, and assisting the office managers as needed. There is ample potential to grow and diversify into other positions within the company, such as guide or office manager.
Coastal Expeditions offers a fun, laid back work environment with amazing views. Employees enjoy unlimited access to kayaks and standup paddleboards!

DAILY TASKS
- greet each person that walks thru the door
- check in clients and take payment for tours & rentals – answer phones and direct calls
- respond to text messages
- respond to general inquiry emails
- assist with bookings
- confirm reservations
- maintain 100% scheduling accuracy
OTHER TASKS
- restocking/organizing retail
- maintain cleanliness of office
- occasionally assist renters on and off the water, including cleaning and carrying kayaks
- assist office manager and other managers as needed
SCHEDULE
This is a seasonal position. Hours for this position are Friday-Tuesday, 8am-6pm every week from March through November. A successful candidate may be eligible for part-time work in the winter.
PAY
$14/hour to start. Opportunity for IRA matching program, health insurance, and other benefits after successful on-boarding.
