Join the Coastal Expeditions Foundation, Charleston Waterkeeper, Easy Honey on a Shem Creek Sweep! Easy Honey is kicking their surf tour off with a litter sweep in their hometown and we will need all the help we can get after tropical storm, Debby, moves through Charleston.
Shem Creek is one of Charleston’s busiest recreational waterways and that puts a lot of pressure on this natural resource. The creek is a haven for dolphins and manatees with their calves, nesting birds and other wildlife. Let’s do a creek sweep to make sure its clean for this “nursery of the sea.” We will have some people kayaking to clean up the creek and others walking the street to prevent additional litter to enter.
Sunday, August 11th | 12-2 pm
Kayaks and litter collecting gear will be provided
100% of proceeds go to Coastal Expeditions Foundation and Charleston Waterkeeper: $15/person
It will be following Easy Honey show at the Windjammer this Saturday!
If you or someone in your group will not be attending, please call or text (843)884-7684 to let us know before the event so we can try to fill the spots from our wait list.
