Cape Romain Lighthouses Tour
$75 per person | Adventurous, Birding, Dolphins & Wildlife | A few hours
Tuesday, October 8th (Draconids) 5:45pm-10:15pm
Grab a blanket and your favorite stargazer! We’re heading out to Bulls Island at sunset for a special evening expedition. The dark skies of Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge will offer a spectacular look at the Draconid Meteor Shower as the waning crescent moon sets behind the island.
The expedition begins with a sunset cruise and ecotour through Cape Romain, followed by a safari-style truck ride through the island and 0.25 miles on foot to reach the secluded wilderness beach of Bulls Island. At the beach, there will be ample space for everyone to spread out and find the perfect spot to watch the nightfall and the stars appear. After about an hour of stargazing, we’ll make our way back to the boat for the peaceful cruise back to the mainland.
Please understand that we are operating at the whim of Mother Nature and cannot control cloud coverage. Cloudy or clear, this trip offers an exclusive nighttime opportunity to enjoy wilderness beach far away from city lights.
ACTIVITY LEVEL
Activity level will range based on personal preference. Coastal Expeditions will transport you to the beach where you can enjoy the view from the drop-off point or walk miles of wilderness beach. Guests minimally need to be able to walk a quarter mile and manage going up and down a boat ramp.
TOUR DURATION
