Wind through a maze cypress and tupelo trees on this paddling trip to Sparkleberry Swamp in Rimini.  The mirror-like reflections of the blackwater offer a mystical experience as we paddle though this forest suspended in the floodplain.  There are no maps- you just have to trust your guides.

Unlike the other blackwater tours that we offer, this swamp is not tidal and the trees are perpetually submerged. It is a haven for waterfowl, alligators, turtles and botanical diversity.

INCLUDES
Gear (canoe or kayak, PFD, paddle, etc.), pre-paddle prep/instruction, guide, and tax.

TOUR DURATION
5-6 Hours (includes instruction, prep, on-water time and a break for lunch)

ACTIVITY LEVEL
Participants will canoe on a guided expedition in a blackwater swamp. No experience needed.  It is designed to be an immersive experience in nature to get to places that can only be reached by canoe or kayak.  We’ll take our time as we paddle through this flooded forest.

KID FRIENDLY?
We recommend this trip for ages 12 and older because of the duration.

WHAT TO WEAR
Shoes that will stay on your feet, a hat, and synthetic clothing (it will dry faster than cotton).  During cooler weather, dress in layers.

WHAT TO BRING
Drinking water. Pack lunch and snacks for our break on high ground.

WEATHER
Weather (thunderstorms or high winds) may impact this excursion. Cancellations usually occur due to lightning, thunder or high winds and we will make sure to reschedule your group if needed. Our general cancellation policies apply unless our experts determine it is potentially unsafe or unwise to venture out. In the event that we decide to cancel due to weather, we will make every effort to call you at least two hours before your departure and help you reschedule or credit/refund the full cost of your trip.

GRATUITY
Gratuity is not included in your tour price. Our guides go above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic time out on the water! Average gratuity ranges from 15%–25% of your tour cost based on your experience. It is not required, but always greatly appreciated!
