This 2.5 hour fishing adventure is perfect for a family that is looking for an action-packed fishing adventure paired with an educational eco-tour of the Charleston Harbor where your Captain will be teaching you about the wildlife and history of the Holy City.

The Lowcountry Family Fishing Charter is more than just a fishing trip; it’s an educational journey that combines fun and learning. This program is perfect for families who would like to experience the life of Lowcountry angling.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS
1.Hands-on Learning: You will get to experience a variety of fishing techniques, including bait spotting and casting nets to catch bait like menhaden, shrimp and mullet
2.Saltwater Fishing: Captain Connor will take you through different areas of Charleston fishing for redfish, trout, flounder, and even sharks.
3.Water Safety: Coastal Expeditions places a strong emphasis on water safety, teaching everyone the essential skills needed to enjoy boating activities responsibly.
4.Fun and Exploration: Above all, this adventure is a day of fun, exploration and discovery in Charleston Harbor.  It’s a chance for families to connect with nature, make new friends and create lasting memories.

Led by Capt. Connor, Coastal Expeditions’ Operations Manager and the primary captain for our Outdoor School. As an environmental educator and lifelong outdoorsman, Capt. Connor understands how important it is to learn outdoor skills at a young age.  If your kids have been to camp, they know Capt. Connor!

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN PRICE?
• Charleston Harbor Boat Cruise on a Coast Guard-certified vessel
• 2.5 hours with Coastal Expeditions guides
• Fishing tackle, gear and fishing license for all clients included

WHAT TO WEAR
Dress for the weather. Wear a hat and closed toe shoes.

RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES TO BRING
Sunscreen, filled-water bottle, snacks, and towel.

SAFETY
All Coastal Expeditions guides are trained in first aid, CPR and life guarding. As year round leaders of day camps and school field trips, our staff is well-trained to keep safety at the forefront.  Life jackets (PFDs) will be worn at all times on the dock and boat.

All Coastal Expeditions boats are custom-built and carry USCG Certificates of Inspection (COI).  Captains hold current 50-100 ton Master Captain Licenses.
