Katie Morrison, a South Carolina native, was raised on Folly Island where she found her passion for marine life and salt marsh estuaries. After completing her degree in Environmental Studies “Conservation and Policy” from Sewanee: The University of the South, she performed a six week marine research study in the Caribbean. This winter Katie worked for the Pacific Whale Foundation, conducting research on the Pacific Humpback Whale population in Maui, Hawaii.
As the Director of Education & Program Development, Katie leads and develops itineraries for our camps and field trips, making sure that all of our offerings are fun, educational and safe. She is also our contact for full day kayaking adventures and other specialty trips.
