Kayak Rentals
A wide range of high quality kayaks are available including touring singles, sit-on-tops and tandem kayaks. We fit you to a boat that is comfortable for you and appropriate for your skill level. Rental includes kayak, paddle, PFD, spray skirt for closed cockpit boats, pump, paddle float and a chart. All rentals also come with weather forecasting, tidal information, free paddling advice and full use of our on water access.
Types of Kayaks:
Closed Cockpit Touring Kayaks, Sit-on-Top (SOT) recreational kayaks, and hybrid kayaks are available. Your selection may depend on experience, preference, availability or intended use.
Our touring fleet is comprised mostly of Current Designs boats, while our SOT's made by Ocean Kayak both well respected boat makers for safety and quality.
Ocean Kayak Single SOT Ocean Kayak Tandem SOT
These Sit-On-Top kayaks are the perfect boat for beginners or newcomers to the salt marsh that want to explore on their own. The main advantage of SOT is that with no closed cockpit, you don't need to be familiar with the wet-exit or self rescue techniques critical to touring boats. These kayaks are self-bailing, so if you get wet, whether on purpose or unexpectedly, the water drains out and your ready to keep going. In addition, they accommodate all shapes and sizes of paddlers, and have comfortable seatbacks for support. For the kayak fisherman out there, the Prowler 13 makes a great platform for searching out those reds!
Our Touring Kayaks are closed cockpit boats with seatbacks, sealed bulkheads, deck rigging, and all include foot pedal controlled rudder system for maximum turning efficiency and control. We have a selection of models to suit the individual paddler and 2 person teams (Tandems). Although all of our guided tours use touring boats, rental of a single touring boat does require some previous experience. We ask that you be familiar with both the wet-exit, and the self-rescue techniques in order to rent a closed cockpit single. However, Tandem kayaks are extremely stable and are usually a great option for less experienced paddlers, parent-child teams, or those that want to work together to get maximum efficiency out of the kayak.
Single Kayak Rental:
$38/half day (up to 4 hours) 
$48/full day (up to 24 hours)
Double Kayak Rental:
$48/half day (up to 4 hours)
$58/full day (up to 24 hours)
Walk-Up kayak rentals are always welcome, but to ensure promt service and boat availability reservations are always recommended!
Weekly and monthly rates are available.
