Individual and Group Instruction

American Canoe Association (ACA) and British Canoe Union (BCU) certified instruction is available at all levels. From the novice learning the basics to the more advanced paddlers seeking advanced paddle techniques and stroke development, rolls and rescues, we can customize the lesson for your individual needs. Private and group instruction is available in the summer on local waters and in the winter in a heated pool. Please call to arrange instruction ranging from 2 hours to several days.


IDW & ICE

We are now offering ongoing courses starting in November. Coach Tom Nickels will be here to offer ACA instruction and training. An experienced, skilled and passionate sea kayaker Nickels is a BCU Coach Level 3 Sea, and an ACA Open Water Instructor Trainer Educator. Join us to begin your Kayaking certifications or advance your qualifications up to level 4.

Our first course will be held November 9-13, 2010 (duration depends on level of training & certification desired)

Surf Instruction

Who ever said there is no whitewater in the Lowcountry? Discover the thrill of surfing waves in a kayak. Under our expert guidance you will learn all you need to know to maximize enjoyment in this exhilarating and exciting sport. Instruction will include wave dynamics, surf zone navigation, surfing techniques and safety concerns. All skill levels are welcome from novice to advanced.

 

Pricing: $40.00 per hour (2 hr. minimum) + boat rental

This instruction rate is good for up to 4 people so gather a few friends and learn together!
