Our location on the Folly Creek is just minutes from Folly Beach and about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. The Folly Creek estuary is a favorite for its remote wilderness experience tucked away right behind the popular Folly Beach area. We are located on the Folly Creek, just over the first bridge as you approach Folly Beach. This allows us to avoid the power boat traffic associated with the Folly River Public boat landing on the backside of Folly Island. Our outpost has parking, bathroom facilities, cold beverages, and private on-water access to the marsh. Our half day tour options typically explore the estuary systems surrounding one of South Carolina's largest remaining undeveloped marsh islands, Long Island (pictured above), abundant with flora, fuana, and rich cultural history. Low tide back here can sometimes provide sightings of Lagerhead Sea Turtles, Wood Storks, and occasionly strand-feeding Bottlenose Dolphin. Defintely, one of our best half-day tours for dolphin watching at low-tide! Dont forget about the full day tour options that include exploring the marsh islands, to paddling out to Morris Island for shelling and a close look at the historic Morris Island Lighthouse.
You will depart from and return to our shop on the property of Crosbys Seafood @ 2223 Folly rd. Charleston SC 29412- Look for the kayak in the sky and you cant miss us. Dont forget to stock up on some Fresh local Seafood upstairs before you head home!
